Audience Reviews for Something in the Rain Season 1 Jun 08, 2022 Just like with most geniuses who are way ahead of their time, most of Ahn Pan-Seok's works are too nuanced and therefore not intended for the mass market. Those who expect a beautiful love story are going to be greatly disappointed. Ahn Pan-Seok's dramas raise important social issues and depict a woman's role in Korean society. This drama is about the MeToo movement in Korea, sexual harassment, and discrimination based on social status. It accurately portrays the struggle that women face in modern-day Korea. Things take a turn for the worse after episode eight, and the ending can be described as somewhat bittersweet. However, the plot is compelling enough to keep you glued to the screen, and the acting is simply phenomenal. This is by far the best drama that the Korean entertainment industry has to offer, and it is extremely addictive. I will surely watch it again Jun 02, 2021 I like a lot the photography in this drama, the music is beautiful and actually the acting part is good too, but is to slow for me, and the argument of the second part of the drama 8-16 is so out of the blue, the characters suddenly transform in crazy people and for me that makes that the drama have a lack of coherence. You'll want to binge until the end. A rare pearl in the endless constellation of too many boring shows. It should be on your short list of series to watch in my opinion. Contrary to many criticizing the soundtrack, I think it is perfect, in describing the atmosphere of the series. A suggestion you should watch this series with who you love.
